"Carolina's Fencing Camp"

Dates: Jun. 14-18 2010
Times: 9:00-3:00
Level/Age Group: Ant and all level are welcomed. Unrated and novice fencers as well as experienced competitors. Age 9 and up.

Cost: $359.- (includes 5 days of camp, snacks, equipment). Non-refundable deposit of $250 is required by June 1st - - LATE REGISTRATION UNTIL JUNE 13th: $399.-

Camp Description:

For copmpetitors: Special fencing drills will be developed for this camp; intense practice, learning and conditioning. Fencing will be videotaped and analyzed.

For new, novice: The camp will be a great introduction to the sport of fencing.
Key features include
- Fencing overview: Foil, Epee, Saber
- fitness training, exercises for balance, speed, agility
- footwork, blade-work techniques (incl. electronic TargetSpeed device)
- fencing rules
- Participants will be able to fence simple bouts at the end of camp utilizing footwork and blade-work skills as well as the mental aspect of this great Olympic sport. It builds self discipline, self confidence and concentration!
